Joyce Tenneson was born in Weston, Massachusetts, and after graduation she taught at an art school in Washington for 15 years before going to New York in 1984 where she now lives and works.

Tenneson is among the most respected photographers of our time and has received numerous awards. Her work has been shown in 150 exhibitions worldwide, and is in numerous private and museum collections. Her photographs have appeared on countless covers for magazines such as Time, Life, Newsweek and the New York Times Magazine.

Designed for the Hugo bed, this is an open coil sprung mattress with a multi-denier polyester wadding filling and a natural fibre insulator. The quilted top is made from 60% cotton and 40% polyester. This is a standard width single mattress, but is 10cm longer than the usual size.
